There’s something magical when the holiday lights flicker on, the crisp evening air settles in, and the community gathers together to celebrate. This past Saturday marked the opening night for Winter Spirit’s 2025 season at Locomotive Park in Lewiston — and we couldn’t resist sharing a bit of that magic with you.

A Night to Remember

As we pulled into Locomotive Park, the scene was already alive with festive energy — shimmering displays, dancing trees, and families bundled up, drinking cocoa, and pointing eyes toward the lights. The giant gas fireplace kept everything cozy while music filled the air, making it instantly feel like a warm holiday memory in the making.

According to the Winter Spirit website, the lights are scheduled to shine from November 22, 2025 through the first weekend of January 2026 — so there’s plenty of time to bring your friends or family.

Why It Matters—And Why You Should Go

At The Provost Real Estate Team, we know that “home” is more than a building — it’s a feeling. And events like Winter Spirit remind us why for so many, community and traditions amplify that feeling.

  • Family & Tradition: Whether you grew up attending local light displays or are looking to begin a new annual tradition, this is one that spans generations.

  • Local Experience: This isn’t just any light show — it’s in Lewiston’s downtown core, in Locomotive Park, which gives it character and charm.

  • Shareable Moments: From the vibrant lights to the laughter of kids, it’s the kind of visual and emotional content that sticks — and it’s exactly why videos like ours resonate so well.

Our Experience & Takeaways

  • We arrived around 4:30 pm, just as the lights were switching on — which gives you that magical “first moment” effect when the park transitions from day to dusk.

  • The crowd was relaxed, friendly, and excited. You could feel the sense of community — neighbors greeting neighbors, couples taking selfies, families pointing out their favorite colors.

  • Tip: Bring a warm drink, arrive early to get a good vantage point, and don’t forget your camera/phone — this is one for the memory book.

Why We’re Sharing This with You

As real estate professionals, we don’t just sell houses — we help connect people to lives and communities. We believe that when you buy or sell a home, you’re investing in more than walls and roofs. You’re investing in neighborhood experiences, local traditions, and the lifestyle that makes a place home.

By sharing our visit to Winter Spirit, we’re spotlighting one of the many reasons the Lewiston-Walla Walla region is special. It’s not just a market — it’s a community.
